Dezeen Article: Giving identity to faceless skyscrapers

Dutch company 'Instudio' have created an apparent solution to the 'impersonal homogeneity' of these towering skyscrapers in Daegu, South Korea.

By splashing the facades of the once monotone buildings with contrasting colours, incredible digitally designed prints appear transforming you away from the once 'dull' landscape to a place of intrigue and excitement.

'Instudio' describe the coloured regions as 'zones', which ingeniously is supposed to give each resident individuality; an identity from within the masses that inhabit the tower block.

Agreeably, their end-goal is to tackle the lack of community involvement, which often leads to hostility between minorities.  I believe this is relevant to my personal investigation due to my interest in understanding how vibrant colour and print can transform areas of neglect in urban environments.
